Software Installation in Ubuntu is quite different with Windows.. Actually it's not difficult to install software in Ubuntu. There are 4 basic ways:
1. Using Add/Remove Application
2. Using Synaptic Packages Manager
3. Using Terminal
4. Using DEB packages
